Into the Fire Pottery Studio- Review & Windex Brighten Your Day Event

My week was certainly brighter!  SC Johnson, and the people at Windex along with the Mile High Mamas sponsored an evening for us Denver bloggers at the Into the Fire Pottery Studio in Arvada, Colorado.   The owners are amazing women and very helpful.  Believe it or not, I was a first time pottery-painter and I learned a lot.  I knew nothing of how to do this and messed up a little but even with my flaws on the mug, it turned out great.  Check out the pictures I took before and after.  Yes, folks, something I learned- with pottery, you paint it up and then have to go back and pick it up or have it shipped.  They put it into the fire and the ceramic comes to life.   It sure did for me.  I was having a dreary week and was down and out and I tell you my new mug from which I can have coffee or oatmeal or soup, will certainly liven up my office space.

BEFORE

It  was a great time to mingle, catch up with friends, and keep my hands busy by paining pottery.  As the sign says on their wall, “cheaper than therapy.”  Boy, are they right!  I had a good time and was energized after the night ended. Now that I have my finished product, I also feel a sense of accomplishment.  Windex, thanks for brightening my day and my office space with Into the Fire pottery! Check out my pictures and I hope to do some pottery painting with you very soon!

  1. Looks like a fun night. Glad for Networked Blogs so I can finally follow your new posts!! 🙂

My favorite SC Johnson product is Windex….cleans my mirrors and my kitchen and bathroom sinks. (Thank you, FlyLady for that advice!).

  2. Windex Original in the blue bottle is my favorite product. It never fails, never streaks, and always works perfectly :). I’m already a subscriber to your blog.

  3. Well, seeing as I use Scrubbing Bubbles, Pledge, Windex (love the glass wipes), and shout wipes… I seem to really like their products all around 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win 🙂

  4. That place sounds COO-ool! I’m going to have to try it out.

I’m heading over to follow via RSS and I love the Windex multi-surface; the yellow one.
