This weekend was exhausting! After working at my full-time job all week, off I went for my military weekend. I was exhausted but feel blessed that I am close enough to come home if I choose – I am only a 1.5 hour drive or 101 miles away. So, I had the opportunity to return home on Saturday to see my kiddos, play with them, bathe them and tuck them in. After they were tucked in — that’s where my perfect moment happened. It was adorable!
My little one was singing “twinkle twinkle little star” at the top of her lungs behind her closed bedroom door with some funny words mixed in. Little did she know I was standing on the other side enjoying her solo performance with a smile on my face and sheer joy in my heart, grateful that I get to be part of these perfect moments. An hour later, my little one got sick to her stomach though and was ill all night- it’s going around- but out of that even more perfect moments came because I stayed home on Sunday to take care of her and did not return Colorado Springs. Despite an exhausting week and a couple of stressful days away from home, my little twinkling stars at home are always there to guide me and help me appreciate the blessings in my life.
